Pierro five-year-old Victory Command has furthered hisrecord on his home track at Eagle Farm in determined fashion.
The Barry Lockwood-trained gelding made it two wins on thebounce over 1800 metres when he produced a tenacious display for his thirdvictory on the track and fourth overall.
We bred and sold Victory Command who settled midfield on therail and finished resolutely closest to the fence to account for his BenchMark70 rivals in the hands of Luke Dempsey.
“He’s been in great form and is such a cool horse,” saidEmma-Jane Vincent, who will shortly join Lockwood in a training partnership.
“We thought the weight (59.5kg) may get to him, but he dugdeep. Luke suits the horse and once balanced, put him through his gears.”
