Farm Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Farm Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on, permanent role that involves general farm and property maintenance, pasture care, working with cattle and assisting with lawn care and maintenance.

Cambridge Stud is a well-established thoroughbred stud farm dedicated to the breeding and care of elite racehorses. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of horse welfare, breeding practice, client communication and pasture management. Our team works collaboratively to support successful breeding operations and the development of future champions.

Description

Duties include maintaining stables, paddocks, fences, and equipment. Operating farm machinery (tractor, mower, etc.) Caring for and shifting cattle, general property maintenance, including staff accommodation and farm duties as directed by the Farm Manager.

Key Requirements

About you

The successful applicant will preferably have prior experience working on a Stud Farm, but not essential. Be Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and in a team. Be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Tractor or machinery experience is advantageous (training can be provided). A current driver’s licence (essential).
